About

Me in front of Werenwag Castle at the beautiful “German Grand Canyon”.
Hello and welcome to my blog! My name is Lisa and I recently moved back to my home town of Hamburg in the North of Germany. I’m currently working on founding my own business. For now, I will be sharing some ideas around Lean Management and sustainability at next-level-lean.com. Feel free to check it out!
I have been living in Japan for close to two years so far, so Asia has always been an important part of my life since I first went there when I was 16. I also spent six weeks traveling through Asia with a friend from university in 2014. I speak various languages, including Japanese and Chinese (and some bits and pieces of Korean). I don’t want to restrict my travels to that region though as there are so many other cool places I’d like to see (which are much closer to where I live, too!).
Apart from traveling, I like taking pictures and discovering all kinds of new music (from practically all genres) and food. And yes, I do eat some crazy food like that famous foreigner scare Natto – fermented (and stinky!) soy beans – from Japan (totally love it!!) and I have also tried raw jelly fish (which I didn’t like that much, though…). (Check out my post on crazy food in Iceland here!) Also, languages are very important to me, but you can read more about that in my first blog post.
If you like, feel free to follow me on Twitter!
